Hello, this is FactoryUse MRO Solution. Every summer, one of the biggest variables on the manufacturing floor is a simultaneous shutdown across the entire supply chain. Our operations will be suspended for approximately two weeks due to the summer holiday, from Sunday, July 20, 2025 through Thursday, July 31, 2025. During this period, all activities including order intake, shipping, and customer support will be temporarily halted. We kindly ask our clients to prepare thoroughly in advance to avoid any disruption to your production schedules.

There is a structural reason why this year's summer holiday spans two weeks. The majority of our key suppliers and logistics partners are taking their summer break during the same period, which has unavoidably extended our operational downtime. This is a widespread summer shutdown practice across the domestic manufacturing and distribution industry. When suppliers are not shipping raw materials or components, we are unable to replenish inventory or fulfill orders. It is important to recognize this not merely as a gap in business days, but as a complete, temporary halt of the entire supply chain, and to plan accordingly.

Now is the time to act in order to prevent production line stoppages or emergency material shortages during the holiday period. First, immediately assess your current consumable inventory. Check stock quantities starting with high-turnover items such as gloves, cutting tools, lubricants, filters, and safety supplies. Second, work backwards from your expected restart date in early August to calculate the required order quantity. We generally recommend setting a safety stock level of 1.5 times your two-week consumption rate. Third, be sure to meet the order deadline. The last shipping date before the shutdown is Friday, July 18, so all orders must be placed no later than Wednesday, July 16.

There are items that on-site MRO managers tend to miss when preparing for the summer shutdown. The most typical examples include periodically replaced consumables such as air filters and oil filters; personal protective equipment (PPE) such as insulating gloves and safety shoes; cutting tools such as drill bits and end mills; equipment maintenance chemicals such as grease, lubricants, and coolant; and packaging and basic consumables such as cable ties, tape, and labels. These items are often deprioritized in inventory management due to their low unit cost, but their absence can bring an entire production line to a halt. We strongly recommend doing one more warehouse check right now.
